This is the United States largest metro area and can be said to be the most happening place in the US. Wall Street is in New York as is the United Nations Headquarters. The busy pace of the city will leave you exhausted. The Dutch were the first Europeans to occupy Manhattan in the early 1620’s and they named the place New Amsterdam. It was later renamed New York when the British took over in 1664. Must-visit places and landmarks are Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Lincoln Center, Wall Street, Rockefeller Plaza and Central Park. There’s always some event happening in the city so it’s a great place to visit anytime during the year. Just plan your schedule such that you’re able to see all the places worth visiting and you don’t spend too much time standing in queues.
