Icelandair operates services to 21 cities in 12 countries on both sides of the Atlantic. In 2004 Icelandair flew 1,332,802 passengers on scheduled flights (more than 4 times the population of Iceland!), with an associated seat-load factor of 74.5% (source: Icelandair 2004 Annual Report).
Average age of fleet: At the beginning of January 2005 the average age of the Icelandair fleet was 8.6 years, while the average age of the 10 jet aircraft used in international passenger operations iwas only 7.1 years.
Associations: Icelandair has been a member of IATA (International Air Transport Association) since 1950, AEA (Association of European Airlines) since 1957, and FSF (Flight Safety Foundation) since 1966.
