Cayo Largo del Sur or simply known as Cayo Largo is the second largest island in the southeastern part of the Cannareos Archipelago. It is a small island resort that belongs to the country of Cuba and enjoys the clear waters of the Caribbean Sea.

Significant chapters in the history of the island included the second visit of Christopher Columbus and Francis Drake. The island was believed to be used as a base by pirates.

Today, the island enjoys a great deal of attention especially from tourist coming from temperate climate countries. This is because of its warm climate all year round, its pristine beaches, awesome dives sites, and rich wildlife. The island also has many resorts, hotels and its own international airport, which makes it an easy destination for foreigners.
