Caye Caulker is town located in the small coral island of Caye Caulker off the coast of Belize in the Caribbean Sea. The island where the village sits is basically a sand bar over a limestone shelf and has a narrow waterway that divides the island into two.

The town is a popular destination for other backpackers and tourists. In fact, tourism is a major industry for the town and the whole island and despite its size and topography, the town has 30 tiny hotels, several restaurants and shops. It is also a known fishing town that offers fresh lobsters to its visitors.

Caye Caulker is accessible by high-speed water taxis and small planes. A 20-minute walk is enough time to cross the whole island and it can be visited throughout the year. Visitors prone to sunburns however must take extra precautions.
