Campo Grande, Brazil, travel information
Nicknamed as the “Brown City” because of its reddish-brown soil, Campo Grande is the capital city of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul in Brazil. It has an increasing population, which is mainly credited to its privileged highland tropical climate and location which makes it the 23rd largest city in Brazil.
The city primarily gets its revenue from its tertiary sector, although agribusiness still plays an important role in its economy. In fact, the city is among the largest producers of soy beans in the world.
Tourism activities on the other hand would include enjoying the Saint John’s Festival, witnessing the Campo Grande Film Festival, car racing, and watching a soccer game inside the its major football stadium. A trip to its tropical savanna during the sunny yet cooler month of July is also worth a try for tourists.
