Located in the interior state of Sao Paulo in Brazil, Campinas is a city with a population over one million people making it the third largest city in the state. This large city was initially a simple base for people who were looking for precious metals and Indian slaves, but because of its coffee and sugar products, it became a growing population in the later part of the 19th century until today.

The word Campinas means grass fields, which describes it landscape. This city is also known as a City of Swallows for many migratory birds rests on its vast lands. Many of its tourism activities include visits to its museums, art galleries, the Lagoa do Taquaral Park that has several facilities, and other preserved historical fixtures and places like the Bosque dos Jequitibás, the Cathedral, the Historical Railway Society of Campinas, and many more.
