Nicknamed as the City of a Thousand Minarets for its great number of Islamic Architecture, Cairo is the capital of Egypt and the largest city of the Arab World. This famous city runs along the equally famous Nile River and is associated with ancient Egypt because of its contiguity to the famous Great Sphinx and the pyramids in Giza.

The significance of Cairo as a place also runs from having the oldest and largest film industries in the Arab world and the al-Azhar University, the second oldest school in the planet. It also has its own tourist destinations like the Egyptian Museum, the Khan El-Khalili which is an ancient shopping area, Old Cairo, opera houses, and theaters.
