Brisbane is the largest city in Australia and is also known as a state city of Queensland. It is the 3rd most populous city in Australia with an estimated 2 million population. Brisbane is located on the Brisbane River between Great Dividing Range and Moreton Bay. It is also named after Sir Thomas Brisbane, (1821-1825) Governor of New South Wales.
