Barisal is considered to be the capital of the Barisal Division which can be found in the southern part of Bangladesh. This city is famous for its paddy growing as well as the big and small rivers which can be found in the area. The rivers are abundant in marine wildlife and as such is a popular place for fly and sport fishing.

One of the best places to visit when you are in the area is the Kuakata which is a rare scenic spot which can be found in the southernmost edge of Bangladesh wherein you can watch both the sunset as well as the sunrise. This makes Kuakata one of the most unique, if not rarest, beaches in the globe.
