Asosa, or as it was formerly known as Aqoldi, is a town that can be located in the western area of Ethiopia which is the capital of the region of Benishangul-Gumuz. Many Tourists who have been in the vicinity would like to go back because of the ease of travel seeing as that the town is served by their own airport.

Most people who have been in the area are there for the town’s wonderful bamboo as well as their eucalyptus trees. They are one of the main eucalyptus exporters in Africa. Their rubber trees are also a great commodity among many companies.

The area is home to Africa's wildlife which would include lion, elephants, monkeys, and many others so it’s a great place for an alternative Safari zone.
