Arba Mintch is a city in Ethiopia that is also known in common and local city names of the residents as Ganter and Minghi. It is located in the Semian Omo Zone of the Southern Nations, peoples region, and nationalities for about 500 kilometers south of Addis and Ababa, lifted in 1285 meters of elevation above sea level.

The place hosts the annual Thousand Stars Music and Dance Festival. It encourages the practice and preservation of the traditions of the locals with songs, dance, artistic and cultural expressions and various ceremonial gatherings that attracts the tourists to stay for days or a week in order for them to witness the celebration. This is organized every year by the Gughe Indigenous Art and Music Association committee.
