Antananarivo is considered as the largest city in Madagascar as well as it being the capital of the country as well. The city is located in the center of the island and has a great view as it is constructed on the slopes and summit of a rocky ridge.

There is also a great monument that can be located in the city which is to honor the deaths of the soldiers who died for France. Another traveler’s spot in the city is the Independence square as well as the independence avenue which was made to commemorate the independence of Madagascar.

Another great tourist attraction site for the city is the Anosy Lake which can be found near the outskirts of town.
