Annecy is a medieval town center located in the Northern part of France. The town is dissected by small streams and canals where clean water flowing from the famous Lake Annecy. The town is popular for becoming a romantic venue for couples.

You should drop by on the first weekend of August since Annecy will be celebrating the Lake Festival around the lake. A lot of tourists flock in the town to witness the grand festival which is also famous for its great fireworks display.

October is also a good month to come by since they will be celebrating “Descente des Alpages” or “Return from Alpine Pastures” which is a traditional farmer’s festival filled with local music, entertainment and food. This occurs on the second Saturday of October.
