Andizhan is considered to be the capital of the Andijan Province in Uzbekistan and is also hailed as the fourth largest city in the country. It is located due east of Uzbekistan which is already in the Fergana Valley near the Kyrgyzstan boarder and the Andijan-Say River.

The city has a very colorful history since it was a very important pit stop of the famous Silk Road which was then destroyed by Genghis Khan. Ironically the person who rebuilt the city was his grandson Kaidu Khan.

As you roam around the city you will find that the main products of the city are high quality cotton, fruits, Uzbek lkat and silk. These items can be great souvenirs for the tourists who drop by.
