Ambatomainty is a town located in the Mahajanga province, situated in the western part of Madagascar. It is also approximately 220 kilometers away from the capital of Anatananarivo. This area is easily accessible because it has its own airport.

A lot of animal lovers want to visit this place because they have rare ands exotic animals all over the land. One of them is the Lemur coming from the order of primates as well as the carnivorous Fossa. The Indri lemur is one of the 99 recognized species of lemur which can only be found in the area.

Majority of the population consists of farmers who value their crops of rice, corn and cassava. The rest are fishermen.
