Almeria is a city in Andalucia which is located in Spain. The city can be spotted at the southeast part of the Spain, facing the Mediterranean Sea.

Of the most famous sights in the city is the Alcazaba which was a medieval fortress constructed in the 18th century but was decimated by an earthquake in 1522. Tourists like it because of its magnificent gardens as well as its majestic walls.

Another famous tourist destination is the Cathedral which is similar to the Alcazaba in a sense that it is fortress like in appearance. The Cathedral is equipped with merlons, protected paths, and towers to defend itself from pirates during the day. It was originally intended to be a mosque but later become a Christian church and later rebuilt to have a Renaissance concept.
