Almaty is the biggest city that you can find in Kazakhstan which represents about 9% of the population of Kazakhstan. The city is also the major commercial area of Kazakhstan as of today.

There are various sights available in Almaty and many tourists are dying to visit these scenic destinations. One of these sights is the Kök Töbe Mountain which is located at the southeast area of the city. This mountain can be reached via aerial tramway.

Another popular scenic destination of Almaty, Kazakhstan is the wonderful fountains in the area. Presently, they have 125 isolated fountains or so called fountain groups within the city itself. The most famous among them is the Oriental Calendar Fountain which has 12 sculptures representing the 12 beasts of the Kazakh beast cycle.
