Alliance is a city in Ohio, USA and is known to be the home of Ohio’s state flower – the carnation.

A must see in the area is the Glamorgan castle which was built on 1904. If you stop by, go to the “Witches Circle” located in front of the castle. Tourists have been amazed at the fact that if you stand on the star and say something towards the castle’s direction your voice would echo. There is also the Haines House Underground Railroad Museum which was a former stop on the Underground Railroad.

Alliance is the host of the Greater Alliance Carnation Festival which is a ten day long celebration filled with events. This fun filled occasion happens every second Thursday of August.
