Albuquerque is a desert metropolis located near the center of New Mexico and is the largest city in the state. Tourists flock in Albuquerque due to its colorful history and nice histories.

A famous tourist destination is the Albuquerque Aquarium which showcases the saltwater marine species that can be found in the Gulf of Mexico – these ranges from seahorses, jellyfish, eels, sea turtles, sharks, manta rays and lots of colorful fish.

Another famous attraction is the Rio Grande Botanical Garden which has a special exhibit on desert plants. There is also an indoor butterfly garden and a barnyard petting zoo.

One of the best times to visit Albuquerque is in fall where they hold the spectacular hot air balloon fiesta. In fact they have a museum dedicated to the history and science of ballooning called the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum.
