A major Morocco City, Agadir is capital of the Agadir province and is the Sous-Massa-Draa economic hub. A major fishing port, Agadir was the very first sardine port in the world. It is also a seaside resort full of long stretches of immaculate beaches. Unlike the typical Morrocco town, Agadir is a busy, metropolitan town with modern hotels, large buildings and wide streets.

Famous for its agriculture and sea food, Agadir is located on the Atlantic Ocean shore near the Atlas Mountain base where the Souss River flows into the ocean. Museums include the Musee de Talborjt ‘La Casbah,’ Musee Bert Flint, Le Musse des Arts Berberes, Musee Municipal de Agadir and Le Sicilien Coco Polizzi. In the northern portion of Agadir, many tranquil stretches of sandy beaches are easily accessible. These beaches include Tamaounza which is twelve kilometers away, Aitswal-beach, Imouran, Taghazout, Bouyirdn, Timzguida, Aghroud and Imiouadar which is 27 kilometers away from the city proper.
