Turkey’s agricultural capital, Adana is also the country’s south commercial center. Located just thirty kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea in South-central Anatolia, the city is situated right on Seyhan River. With a population of 1.5 million, Adana is the fifth most populated city in Turkey. Adana City lies in Cukurova’s central hub. This is a geographical, cultural and economical region which includes the Mersin, Adana, Osmaniye and Hatay provinces. Separated with massive mountain ranges, Cukurova is economically independent with many industries and two seaports.

A wide variety of popular tourist attractions include the Taskopru Stone Bridge, the Buyuk Saat Kulesi or the Great clock Tower, the Turkish Bath of the Bazaar which was built in 1519, the Ramzanoglu Palace built in the fourteenth century, breathtaking the Sanaci Merkez Camii mosque with its intricate detailed architecture and the Yag Camii which is an old Catholic Church. Adana’s fantastic warm climate offers many parks and gardens all year long for both local and international tours.
