Dohop.com launches revolutionary flight planner in Germany

A giant flight search engine delivers results in just 3 seconds

Reykjavik, 22. May 2006. Today dohop.com introduced its flight planner in Germany. dohop.com includes more than 650 low-cost and legacy airlines worldwide and helps people find the best flight routes and connections. The flight planner is free to use.

“dohop.com was the first site to help people find low-cost flight connections,” said Frosti Sigurjonsson, General Manager of dohop.com. “We make searching and planning easy for travellers that are willing to take full control of their flight connections.”

Low-cost airlines provide close to 30% of flights worldwide but they do not sell or facilitate connecting flights. Their route networks have until now operated in isolation from each other as well as the traditional airline networks. dohop.com was built to meet the need for a powerful planner that includes all airlines in order to find better routes.

“With the old style “all inclusive” flight connection, the passenger and his luggage is checked through to the final destination. This costs the airlines money and is reflected in higher fares. The new “low-cost connection” carries no such frills and no extra cost either,” said Frosti Sigurjonsson.

dohop.com has received great reviews from both users and airlines and was named by the Timesonline.co.uk as one of the best travel sites.

For airlines and online travel agents dohop.com offers a highly targeted advertising medium. dohop.com has contracted with more than 200 travel suppliers and airlines around the world including many German ones.
